Assimilation and Numerical Simulation Workshop in October 2019, Hangzhou, Zhejiang
Since the first National Ocean Data Assimilation workshop held in 2003, Chinese marine data assimilation research and operational application have been developing rapidly. More and more attention has been paid to research on the development and application of ocean data assimilation technology, resulted in deepened understanding and new results with each passing day.
The National Ocean Data Assimilation Workshop has been successfully held 11 times. It aims to promote academic exchange of marine data assimilation research and operational applications, and to provide a platform for experts, scholars and students in this field to exchange new ideas. The 12th workshop will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province in October 2019, hosted by Second Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and sponsored by Tianjin University, the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of CAS, the South China Sea Institute of Oceanography of CAS, the National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center, the National Ocean Information Center, and other institutes. Meeting-related information is given as follows.
